Wrong Number

A wrong number
won't stop
texting you.

You subscribe. A fictional character starts texting your phone, convinced you're someone else. The story develops over weeks. You can text back. They stay in character forever.

Not a chatbot. Not a game. A subscription to a slow, serialized prank aimed at your own phone — or, with their permission, a friend's.

Questions
Is this AI?+

Yes. The character voices and continuity are generated by Claude (Anthropic). The personas are written by us; replies are generated in-character. We never claim to be a real human, and the characters won't either if you ask sincerely.

How often will they text me?+

Depends on your plan. Solo is ~1-2 texts/day. Multiverse is ~2/day total across two characters. Full Chaos is ~5-7/day across five characters. Apocalypse is ~10-15/day across all ten. Obsessed is ~5-7/day from a single character — high-cadence on purpose. We pace messages so they feel like a real person with a life off-screen.

Can I actually reply?+

Yes. Every reply you send is read by the character, and they respond in voice within hours (or a day, depending on the character — Vincent takes longer, Derek is on his phone). The story builds based on what you say.

What if I say "wrong number"?+

The character does not believe you. They have their reasons — records, evidence, witnesses (in their head). They keep texting. That's the bit. If you genuinely want to stop, reply STOP and we cancel immediately.

Can I pause or cancel?+

Reply STOP to any message. Your subscription cancels immediately and Stripe refunds the unused portion of the month. You can re-subscribe later if you change your mind.

Is my phone number safe?+

We don't sell numbers. We don't share with marketers, advertisers, or affiliates. Your number is used only to send your messages and is retained per our Privacy Policy. SMS is delivered via Twilio (industry-standard).

How long does the story go?+

Each character has a 4-week arc structure. After week 4, the arc resets with a new beat — same character, same voice, fresh material. People stay subscribed for months.

Will they ever ask for money or personal info?+

Never. The personas are explicitly forbidden from threatening, asking for SSN/banking/passwords/addresses, sending links, or impersonating real organizations. If you ever get a message doing any of these, screenshot and email help@wrongnumber.lol — it shouldn't happen.

What if I gift this to a friend who hates it?+

The friend gets ONE consent text and must reply YES before any character ever messages them. If they don't reply YES, no further texts go out. If they reply STOP later, full refund.

Can I switch characters mid-subscription?+

Currently you pick your roster at signup. A switch-character feature ships in v1.1. For now: cancel and re-subscribe with a different pick.
